PPgEM at UFRN presents an Open Class on Indigenous Ancestral knowledge

The “Teku Tatu: About Ancestral Knowledge” project promotes an open class this Wednesday (6) to discuss differentiated attention and articulation between traditional indigenous scientific knowledge, which implies the recognition and construction of local actions in conjunction with ethnic-cultural singularities, as well as the diversity in ways of life and interpretation of the disease, thinking about producing strategies for healing, care, mobilization of social and family networks to deal with such events.
The class will be held at 4pm, room 01 of the Communication Laboratory (LABCOM) of the Department of Social Communication (Decom) at UFRN. The guest speaker is Hamyla Trindade, a technical reference in the general coordination of Information Management, Knowledge, Monitoring and Assessment of Indigenous Health (CGOIN/SESAI/MS) and belonging to the Baré People (AM).
The project is developed by the Pragmatic Communication Research Group (Grupo Pragma) in the Postgraduate Program in Media Studies (PPgEM) at UFRN and has the collaboration of several researchers and experts in indigenous knowledge.
In-person participation is open to the public, simply by showing up at the indicated location. There will also be online broadcast on the Lais-UFRN YouTube channel. Certificates of additional hours will be issued to those who participate in at least 75% of the activities in the class cycle.
