UFRN professor, Janaína Weissheimer, is elected scientist of the month for January 2025 by the Global Science of Learning Education Network

 
Professor Janaina Weissheimer, professor of the Postgraduate Program in Language Studies at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) and collaborator at AprendiLab at the UFFRN Brain Institute, was elected scientist of the month for January 2025 by the Global Science of Learning Education Network.
Janaína is also a member of the coordination of the National Science for Education Network (Rede CpE). His research is focused on describing psycholinguistic processes analyzed with the aid of natural language processing tools.
"The idea of ​​language as a window to investigate cognition and mental processes has always seemed fascinating to me. I have lived in different parts of Brazil, but the warm sea and stunning beaches brought me to Natal (RN), where I have had the pleasure of working and living", said the researcher in an interview with the Global Science of Learning Education Network. 
When explaining her research to the international network, she added that she has applied graph analysis in different areas to better characterize the aspects of speech that may be associated with typical and atypical behaviors throughout life, considering variables related to aging, as well as biological and social contexts, such as bilingualism.
