Residency in Public Policies and Innovation is approved by UFRN

The Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) approved, in person, the creation of the Residency in Public Policies and Innovation. The Lato Sensu Postgraduate Program Proposal, at Specialization Level, will last 18 months and will be linked to the Policy Institute (IPP).
The formation of classes takes place through a formal partnership with interested institutions and a selection process. In total, 30 places will be offered per class. The locations used by the program will be the laboratories and classrooms of sector II of UFRN. The total course load is 2,250 hours, divided between: curricular components and activities with partner institutions.
The residency proposal is guided by Resolution No. 008/2022-CONSEPE, of June 21, 2022, and is justified by its contribution to the professionalization of public administration in Rio Grande do Norte, in addition to supporting the insertion of graduates from the Public Field into the job market. A resident selection notice will be used to allow candidates to apply to participate in the program. When registering, the candidate must submit their documentation and carry out the other activities provided for in the selection process.
The residency is related to the Public Field and the National Curricular Guidelines for Public Administration, focusing specifically on public policies and innovation in public management. The course is intended to be offered on demand, based on partnerships signed with other institutions, whether local, regional, national or international.
