The Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), in partnership with the Directorate of Bilingual Education Policies for the Deaf (Dipebs/Semesp/MEC), publishes the selection process for entry into the 2nd edition of the extension course “Education and Bilingual Education Projects for the Deaf”. The course is offered in a virtual format and is expected to last six months (from September 2022 to April 2023), totaling 180 class hours. 600 places are offered for students, with 50% guaranteed for deaf candidates and another 50% for non-deaf candidates. The course is aimed at graduates of undergraduate courses, undergraduate and pedagogy students, and professionals in public basic education (managers, technicians and teachers).
The training will feature synchronous and asynchronous classes. Its central purpose is to promote continued training of teachers who work in basic education, equipping them to investigate the most appropriate foundations, principles and pedagogical practices for the implementation of “Education and Bilingual Education Projects for the Deaf in Basic Education”.
The inaugural class will take place on September 19, 2022, and will be broadcast via the YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqdlR9HAs1KD-lIcaabyonw). The official publication of the list of students approved and classified in the selection process will be published on August 30th, on the CCHLA portal.
