UFRN Research Group launches magazine and selects texts for publication of scientific initiation articles

Submission of articles for the first free-themed edition of the Brazilian Journal Estudos da Mídia, edited by the Gemini Research Group – Group for Media Studies and Analysis and Research in Culture, Processes and Media Products (UFRN), is open until June 30, 2022. The preparation of this first volume with student productions from undergraduate students, together with doctors across the country in the area of social communication, focuses on the most diverse forms of media in the field of social communication practices. It is expected to publish manuscripts that point to research on mediated social practices, processes of circulation and production of meaning, which encompasses sociocultural studies of communication, research on technological culture, journalism and politics.
"The publication presents this possibility and there is a great demand for texts that do not find space for publication. The idea is not only to give vent to this pent-up demand, but also to expand it through a series of thematic dossiers and the participation of professors from various states", highlights the magazine's editor, professor Valquiria Kneipp. The magazine's organizing committee is made up of Valquíria Aparecida Passos Kneipp and Marcelo Bolshaw Gomes, professors from the department of the Social Communication course at UFRN and the Postgraduate Program in Media Studies (PPgEM/UFRN).
The submitted text must comply with the submission rules. It must be sent, in two files, one with the authors and the other anonymous, only to the email: revistadeestudosdamidia@gmail.com.  If you are unable to submit your text in time, it will be evaluated for the next volume.
