Translation Course (Portuguese-French)

This extension course, an initiative of the Multilingual Research Group, as well as DLLEM and the Ágora Institute, aims to be the first in a series of Translation Courses to be offered by members of the Group, whose main objective is to work on translation skills. Registration must be made via SIGAA.
 
Classes start on August 19th and take place in class sector 2, block I, room 16.
 
The difference between these courses will be in the methodology adopted (FCP) and in a certain multilingualism (French, Spanish and English).
 
Participants must know one of these languages ​​well and have reasonable knowledge of the other two.
 
Programming:

August 19: Prior knowledge and expectations;
August 26th and September 2nd: The communicative purpose of translation
September 16th and 23rd – The profession of translator: skills, tasks and job market
September 30th – The role of intercomprehension
October 7th and 28th – The importance of the target language – writing well to translate
