UFRN hosts Congress on Literature, Inequality and Teaching

The Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) is holding the III AFROLIC International Congress, with the theme Literature, Inequality and Teaching, on the 29th, 30th and 31st of July 2019, in Natal. The event is a partnership with the Association of Teachers of African Literature (AFROLIC), the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco, the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte.
The congress will feature a varied program, including short courses, thematic tables, symposiums, debates with writers and cultural presentations. Those interested in presenting work at symposiums must register by June 30th through the website (https://www.afrolic.com/afrolic-2019/). Registration without presenting work remains open until July 29th.
The event will be attended by important researchers in the field. Among them, professor Nilma Lino Gomes (UFMG), former minister of Women, Racial Equality and Human Rights, the Portuguese poet Ana Mafalda Leite and the scholar Inocência Mata, both professors at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon, and the Angolan writer Paula Tavares.
