The Public Policy Institute (IPP) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) organizes, in partnership with the Judicial Center for Consensual Conflict Resolution and Citizenship of the Federal Justice of RN (CEJUSC), the event “Indigenous Peoples' Law: Conflicts and Mediation”, which takes place on June 2, at 9:30 am, in the auditorium of the Federal Court of RN (JFRN). Registration is free and available through Sigaa.
This is the continuation of a project called “Mediation in Dialogues”, which establishes an interinstitutional partnership between UFRN and JFRN, and which, through the extension events “Building Collaborative Solutions for judicialized public issues”, aims to build a new strategy to discuss the main themes within the scope of legal actions involving public conflicts.
In this 4th edition of the project, the focus will be on the rights of Indigenous Peoples. Participating in the meeting are José Carlos Tavares da Silva, Representative of the Indigenous Movement of Rio Grande do Norte, Lara Santos Zangerolame Taroco, from the Ministry of Indigenous Peoples, Luís de Camões Lima Boaventura, member of the Federal Public Ministry, and Ricardo Weibe Nascimento Costa, from the Special Secretariat for Indigenous Health of the Ministry of Health.
