UFRN shows second session of the Latin America in Cinema project

Promoted by the Social Sciences department of the Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts at UFRN, the Latin America in Cinema extension project will show its second session on April 5th, starting at 6:45 pm in the Auditorium of the Zila Mamede central library (BCZM).
The chosen film is “The Club” by director and screenwriter Pablo Larrain. Lasting 98 minutes, the film will portray the story of an eclectic group of priests who live with Mónica, a nun, in a house on the Chilean coast. When a new priest moves there, a man starts making strong accusations at him. His voice rises more and more until a gunshot rings out. The priest avoids the accusations by saying it is suicide. As a result of this, the church sends an investigator to analyze the case.
In addition to the film, the short film from Rio Grande do Norte will be shown “Operação Plastica com Flávio Freitas” – Directed by: Carito Cavalcanti and Joca Soares, 2011, 11 minutes.
