On Monday, the 14th, the Department of Educational Practices of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) will hold the event Conversation Circle: Stories of History Teaching, which will feature the participation of professor Maria Fernandes Bittencourt, one of the most important names in Brazilian historiography.
The objective of the action is to establish a dialogue about the challenges of teaching History in primary schools, especially based on the performance of the proposal. It is to offer an opportunity where participants can share experiences in schools, challenges and actions.
The event is aimed at students linked to the History Pedagogical Residency Program and will take place in the Human Sciences Laboratory, located in the Education Center classroom block, at 2pm.
About the Residency Program
The Pedagogical Residency Program is one of the actions that are part of the National Teacher Training Policy and aims to induce the improvement of practical training in undergraduate courses, promoting the immersion of undergraduate students in the basic education school, starting from the second half of their course.
This immersion must include, among other activities, classroom management and pedagogical intervention, accompanied by a school teacher with experience in the student's teaching area and guided by a teacher from their training institution.
