CCHLA text review sector presents work at National Forum

The 5th National Text Review Forum held on November 24th and 25th at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) brought together students, teachers, researchers and professionals to discuss the panorama of text review and the reviewer's role in Brazil.
On the occasion, work processes on textual revision used in the revision sector, including at UFRN, were presented, discussing the importance of revision in the construction and dissemination of scientific knowledge in the public university.
The event, which was attended by UFRN reviewer Karla Geane de Oliveira and fellow Ysabelly Campelo Lima da Cruz, applied a questionnaire to authors whose works were reviewed in the Revision and Layout Sector of the Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts, between 2015 and 2022.
The work “Interventions carried out in the text in the process of revision” aimed to discuss the interventions carried out in the text, focusing on the changes already made, the markings that the author can accept or reject what was changed, the suggestions already with proposed changes, as well as questions for the author's reflection. Based on the results, the assessment was that the interaction between author and reviewer is essential for improving the quality of the text.
