The Postgraduate Program in Social Anthropology (PGAS) at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), offers the course Anthropology of Objects and Technique, being taught by Professor Géraldine Le Roux from the Université de Bretagne Occidentale – France, on the 13th and 14th of March, at the Museu Câmara Cascudo at UFRN, with a total of 15 class hours. Before that, on March 12th, the professor will teach the inaugural PGAS class, at 9am, in the auditorium of the Zila Mamede Central Library, entitled Art and Museology. The class is open to the public and there will be translation.
Interested parties can register via Sigaa from March 1st. Professor Géraldine Le Roux obtained funding from CNPq as a visiting professor. His research in the area of museumization processes in the contemporary world focuses on the issue of the globalized art market, the clashes of heritage policies, tourism and the impacts of the emergence of indigenous leaders in the art market.
