Borges, Philosopher is the third event held by the Metaphysics and Tradition Study Group of the philosophy department of the Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts at UFRN around the work of Jorge Luís Borges. The event takes place on May 30th and 31st, starting at 6:30 pm in Auditorium “D” at CCHLA. Registration can be done via SIGAA.
On this occasion, remembering the 30th anniversary of the author's death, a perspective of philosophical interpretation of his work is proposed, investigating how Borgesian thought deals with concepts inherited and produced by the history of Philosophy, as well as debating and analyzing the evidence to accept the possibility that the Argentine writer was himself a producer of original concepts and conceptions achieved through an authentic dialogue with tradition.
