The extension project De Janeiro a Janeiro, promoted by the Applied Psychology Service (Sepa), linked to the Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts (CCHLA), opens registrations for the 2023 White January program. The event, which is in its 8th edition, takes place this year from the 12th to the 31st of January. Registration is now available via Sigaa.
The purpose of the campaign is to help promote mental health with chats and interactive activities. There will be nine actions open to the internal and external community, with seven of them in person. The activities will be announced on the Instagram profile (@janeirobranconaufrn), as well as links for those registered for the events in online format.

New Cycle: time to flourish for new opportunities

A conversation circle with the aim of creating a space for dialogue and reflection on powerful ways of living, self-care, prevention and promotion of mental health and well-being. In the activity on screen, the Roda Vida tool will be used to analyze the areas of the participants' lives, and together they will think about strategies for balance, self-care and well-being.

mandala workshop

Can Neuroscience and Mandalas help with psychic well-being? In this activity we will learn a little about the relationship between neurosciences and creativity and try drawing mandalas. The facilitator has experience in both areas and as participants build their mandalas, creativity awakens and can provide well-being, self-esteem and self-knowledge. There is no need to have experience or drawing skills.

Roundtable on non-violent education

Each historical and social context carries with it prescriptions regarding the task of educating children and adolescents. In modern society, the overload experienced with the responsibility of accumulating so many occupations and duties has caused particular challenges in carrying out this activity, such as feelings of guilt and inefficiency. Furthermore, widespread access to technologies (by adults and children) can have several effects on human relationships, therefore calling for attention and consideration in the use of such instruments. Authoritarian or permissive responses, although adopted on a daily basis, prove to be insufficient. It is therefore necessary to have spaces that promote true reflection on a role that is fundamental in the construction of society and, from this, the construction of other alternative discourses and actions. The conversation about non-violent education is, therefore, an invitation to embrace our emotions and feelings in carrying out the provocative and daring mission of following the trajectory(s) of becoming human!
