Instituto Ágora opens registrations for language courses

The UFRN Ágora Institute opens registrations for new students to take part in face-to-face language courses from July 3rd. English, French, Spanish, German, Libras, Latin and Portuguese courses are offered for foreigners. Classes start in August and registration can be done on Sigaa.
The free places are aimed at UFRN students who are assisted by the Dean of Student Affairs (Proae) and the institution's employees. Students external to the University or who do not qualify as priority students can register as contributors, for a semester fee of R$250 paid in a single installment.
The candidate can enroll in only one of the courses offered by Ágora. According to the notice, the courses available in the second half of 2023 focus on developing the language skills necessary for communication situations.
Students who are interested in entering the more advanced levels of one of the languages ​​can enroll in level 1 of the language they intend to study and take the placement test on July 12th at the locations indicated in the notice. To take the test, you must select the option in the questionnaire available upon registration.
The courses offered by Ágora are carried out by undergraduate students, selected and coordinated by permanent professors from UFRN to occupy the position of teaching classes. For students who enroll in one of the courses, it is necessary to maintain an average of seven points and a class attendance rate equal to or greater than 75% to be promoted to the next level.
