The Department of Communication (Decom), at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), promotes the extension course Sound Aesthetics: construction of sound and meaning in audiovisual. The event will take place on the 4th, 5th and 6th of August 2020, starting at 4pm, remotely, taught by professor Luiz Gehlen, through a videoconference channel that will be passed on to participants.
The initiative aims to provide students with an overview of the technical and narrative evolution of sound in cinema and audiovisual, presenting basic notions about the theoretical and conceptual foundations of sound in the construction of specific atmospheres for narrative and non-narrative audiovisual, according to their aesthetic variables. The classes will be through a slide show with cinematographic concepts, with the display and analysis of film fragments.
Registration can be made through SIGAA (you do not need to have a link with UFRN to participate, but residents of Rio Grande do Norte will have priority).
