Organized by the UFRN academic collective of Social Sciences (CACS) in accordance with the National Association of Social Sciences Students (ANECS), the 1st Congress of Social Sciences Students and the 2nd UFRN Social Students Week take place from the 17th to the 19th of May on the central campus of UFRN.
Having as their main theme: "Democracy for what? Democracy for whom? The wounds of May are still bleeding", both events aim to provoke an academic and political debate on the survival and (re)existence of the social scientist in the contradictions of liberal democracy and its current crisis.
The program will include round tables, work and discussion groups, conferences, book and periodical launches and plenary sessions.
Registration to obtain certificates will be open via Sigaa. At the time of accreditation, on May 17th, a registration fee will be charged, by voluntary contribution, and the participant must reflect on what amount they believe is feasible to pay. The transfer of this amount will be made by the meeting party to the Organizing Committee at the location of the event.
