Humanitas promotes free course on Afro-diasporic thought

The Humanitas Institute for Integrated Studies (IH), at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), promotes the free course “Some notes on Afro-diasporic thought: the ‘kitchen cinema’ made by black women”, which takes place on April 8, at 4pm, on the YouTube platform. The meeting will be attended by Carla Ramos Munzanzu, professor at the Federal University of Western Pará (UFOPA) and PhD from the University of Texas (USA).
The course will address the field of so-called “Black Studies” (Black Studies, Africana Studies and African Diaspora Studies), and the artistic languages ​​of production and theoretical experimentation that involve black artists and intellectuals in the African diaspora. The conference will also present the works of Urânia Munzanzu and Taís Amordivino from the conceptual and political perspective of “making black art” that has a name: “Kitchen Cinema”.
