Department of Arts promotes seminar on text and discourse studies

The Research Group on Text and Discourse Studies (GETED) at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) is holding the III Seminar on Text and Discourse Studies and Research (SETED), on December 11th and 12th, 2019, at the Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts (CCHLA). III SETED receives abstract submissions until November 28th. Registration for listeners follows the same deadline, through (Sigaa).
The III SETED aims to strengthen the space for discussion on studies focused on written production based on the dialogue between Discourse Analysis, Enunciative Theories and different disciplines of the Humanities and Social Sciences. Another important point is encouraging the participation of undergraduate and postgraduate students and basic education teachers, understanding that discussions at moments like these are of great relevance for the training of teachers and researchers. In this edition, the event will feature conferences, round tables and mini-courses with professors from several national universities.

Research Group
GETED was born in 2011, its leader is professor Sulemi Fabiano Campos, it is linked to the Department of Literature (DLET), the Postgraduate Program in Language Studies (PPgEL) at UFRN and is made up of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
In its activities, it has signed cooperation agreements with Brazilian universities (USP, UFPA, UFTM, UFMA, UFBA) and foreign universities. Among the actions, the internationalization missions carried out at the National University of Costa Rica, the Pedagogical University of Colombia, the National University of Mexico, the Francisco Morazán National Pedagogical University of Honduras and the Higher Institute of Education Sciences of Cuanza Sul of the Katyavala Bwila University of Angola stand out.
