The course starts with the intention of reviewing some basic notions about what “looking” is, how cinema and cinephilia are founded and, from there, creating an overview of how feminist film theories are presented (texts dealing with images) and how filmmakers reintroduce other debates (images tensioning texts) through their films and productions.
