Education Center launches book about Paulo Freire

The UFRN Education Center is launching the book Paulo Freire more than ever: a philosophical biography. The event takes place on November 19th, at 7pm, in the CE auditorium, and is attended by the book's writer, professor Walter Koha (UERJ), in addition to the participation of professor Marina Santi, from the University of Padova (Italy).
The program also includes lectures on Inclusive Pedagogy: paradoxes and promises, at 4pm, given by professor Marina Santi, and Philosophy and childhood: forms of a relationship, with professor Walter Kohan, at 5:30 pm. The event is open to the general community. Registration is free and takes place until November 19th, through the Integrated Academic Activities Management System (Sigaa).
The book recalls the importance of Paulo Freire's teaching method and is built around five principles inspired by his life, which are: life (as inseparable from any educational practice); equality (initially, as a presupposition, and not as the aim of education); love (not only for people, but also for the educational position one occupies); wandering (in the double sense of making mistakes and traveling without a predetermined destination) and childhood (as a vital impulse, and not just chronological age).
