The third edition of Encontros Colonialiais at CCHLA is being marked by good attendance by students, teachers and other interested parties, in addition to an excellent level of programming.
On Tuesday, the 14th, the Social History Experimentation Laboratory (LEHS), of the history department (DEHIS) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), opened the program, which continues until this Friday (17th), with a communication session on Commerce, production and taxation in Portuguese America (17th-18th centuries), followed by the session Subjects of the King, faithful of the Holy Mother Church: religion, population and society in Portuguese America (17th-18th century).
In the evening, the III Colonial Encounters met in the D CCHLA auditorium, interested in hearing Helder Alexandre Medeiros de Macedo (UFRN), Carlos Gabriel Guimarães (UFF) and Suely Creusa Cordeiro de Almeida (UFRPE) dialogue and express knowledge on the topic “Negotiators, commerce and taxation: economy and administration in the 17th and 18th centuries”.

In its third edition, the event brings together Colonial History specialists who are presenting work by students carrying out research at LEHS, in addition to debates coordinated by guest teachers.
