This Wednesday, 7/29, from 4pm to 6:30pm, on Google Meet, another DIALOGICAL MEETINGS: LIVES AND VOICES THAT MATTER, with the theme “The elderly and the deepening of inequalities and discrimination in the pandemic”.
At each weekly meeting, from June to August, we dialogue with representatives of civil society and operators of the justice system, about populations, communities, territories and groups in situations of vulnerability and hypervulnerability. The focus of the discussions are the threats to health accompanied by the worsening of historical violence against their most basic human rights, such as the right to life, water, food, education, culture, housing, land, work, accessibility, freedom of expression and communication.
For this edition, the following were invited: Graça Leal, activist and social activist in the fight for Good Living; Body therapist and Sub-coordinator of PROARTE – Artesanat do RN Program. Fátima Costa, graduated in Social Sciences and with a degree in mathematics, is a retired teacher from the State of Pernambuco. With 25 years of dedication to the education of children, adolescents, young people and adults, today, it focuses on social work. He is a member of the São Vicente de Paul Society, a UN member organization, present in 150 countries, which helps people in vulnerable situations.
Also part of the debate, Irene Cardoso, Public Prosecutor of the Public Ministry of Pernambuco/MPPE; Coordinator of the MPPE Working Group on Racism; member of the Transforma Collective of the Public Ministry. And Gilka Silva Pimentel, Vice President of Adurn – UFRN Teachers Union; Pedagogue at UFRN. Specialist in psychopedagogy. Coordenadora de inclusão do NEI/ Cap/ UFRN. Master in education/UFRN.
