Anthropology discusses the presence of Venezuelan Indians in the Northeast

On the 16th and 30th of July, the UFRN Postgraduate Program in Social Anthropology is promoting the I Virtual Meeting Warao Circulations in the Brazilian Northeast bringing together researchers and professors from several Brazilian universities to debate topics related to the presence of the indigenous Venezuelan ethnic group in the northeastern region.
On the 16th, the topic “Mobilities of the Waraos in the Northeast Region of Brazil” will be debated, with the participation of researchers from UFRN, UNILAB, UFRPE, UFCG, UFPB and UFRJ. The event will be broadcast from 2pm on the PPGASUFRN YouTube channel.
On the 30th, policies for welcoming and protecting warao will be discussed, also at 2pm, with online transmission. The opportunity will discuss representatives from the United Nations for refugees, FUNAI and social assistance managers, as well as researchers from UFRN. The event is open to the public.

PPGEM opens registrations for the doctoral course

Until February 29th, the postgraduate program in Media Studies, at the Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts at UFRN, will be open for registration for the doctoral course in the 2016 academic period.
