The Ágora Institute, linked to the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), announces the opening of registrations for regular face-to-face Portuguese courses for foreigners. Registration will take place on the 9th, 10th and 11th of August, at the Instituto Ágora Secretariat, located next to Classroom Sector 2.
The courses are scheduled to start on August 14th and will be taught until December 23rd, with the aim of helping students learn the Portuguese language.
Documents Required for Enrollment
Interested candidates must appear at the Ágora Institute Secretariat during the registration period with the following documents: Original passport, copies of the photo page and visa page of the passport, CPF (original and copy) and copy of proof of residence (may be in the name of a third party). In addition, a registration fee of R$250 will be required for the entire semester.
Placement Test
To ensure that students are allocated to the appropriate levels, candidates wishing to enroll in the Portuguese 2, Portuguese 3 and Portuguese 4 courses must take a placement test. The test will take place at 1pm on August 8th, and to register, the candidate must send an email to ple.ufrn@gmail.com by 11pm on August 7th.
Available Courses and Schedules
Portuguese 1: Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 2:55 pm to 4:35 pm (no prerequisite)
Portuguese 2: Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 4:50 pm to 6:30 pm (placement test required for new students)
Portuguese 3: Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 1:00 pm to 2:40 pm (placement test required for new students)
Portuguese 4: Mondays and Wednesdays, from 2:55 pm to 4:35 pm (placement test required for new students)
