Agora opens registrations for foreign language courses

The Instituto Ágora, at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), Campus Natal, opens registrations, starting August 1st, for new students. In this second academic semester, face-to-face courses in English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese for foreigners, Libras and Latin will be offered. The vacancies are aimed at the internal public (students and employees of UFRN), but a reservation registration will be created aimed at the external public. Candidates from the internal public must register via this link, and external candidates, via the form.
Candidates who already have proficiency in any language offered by Instituto Ágora, as long as they can prove it with a certification, can sign up for levels 3 and 4 of the basic languages offered or for conversational English, French or Spanish courses. To do this, the candidate must send a copy of the level certification to email so that they can undergo the leveling assessment. The placement test is mandatory for the external public.
The courses are offered in the following modalities: basic, reading and conversation. The categories aim to develop linguistic skills, oral and written comprehension, in addition to enabling the student to grasp reading strategies that will allow them to understand texts, facilitating the development of their research and other academic activities in a foreign language. Conversational courses, currently available for English, French and Spanish, level 1, seek to improve the orality of the foreign language acquired by the student.
The courses offered by the Institute are generally taught by undergraduate students, selected and coordinated by permanent professors at UFRN. The student must maintain an average of 7, as well as a class attendance rate equal to or greater than 75% to be promoted from one level to another. If you are already linked to a language course at Ágora, you will not be able to sign up for another, so you must ask the Institute's secretariat, before the start of the selection process, to unlink from the course in which you are registered so that you can make a new link.
Further information can be found in the notice.
