One of UFRN's most renowned professors, Francisco Ivan, currently collaborating with the institution as a volunteer, has his career revered in the form of a book (Viva Ivan) organized by professor Reny Maldonado, from the Department of Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures, to be launched this Friday, the 10th, starting at 7pm at the Clube dos Rádio Amadores do RN, at Av. Rodrigues Alves, 1004, Petrópolis.
The initiative emerged a year ago during an event in Mossoró, and from this seed Professor Maldonado collected the contributions that arrived from Mexico via Professor Rocio Olivares, from Coimbra with the text by Professor Manoel Ferro, from the University of Extremadura by Professor Carmem Comino, psychoanalyst Miriam Chnaiderman and UFRN students and professors such as Bruce Stewart, Erasmo Andrade, Israel Carvalho, Samuel Anderson, Alex Beigui, Lisbeth Lima de Oliveira and Reny Maldonado herself, among others. The Sebo Vermelho edition also features the collaboration of plastic artist Afonso Martins and art design Alexandre Magno (cover) and Jota Medeiros (visual art).
The book brings together a total of 26 contributors who chose letters, poems and essays revealing the trajectory of the honoree, partnerships, opening of our UFRN's borders to the outside, among other aspects of his immense intellectual and academic production, with the editing of several works, guidance for masters and doctors, publication of books and articles, organization of events and participation in collegiate bodies and commissions (https://sigaa.ufrn.br/sigaa/public/docente/producao.jsf?siape=346839)
