UFRN professor carries out academic cooperation mission in Mozambique

Professor Fransualdo de Azevedo, from the Department of Geography at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), is currently in Mozambique, where he is carrying out a series of academic activities and international cooperation negotiations. The researcher arrived in the African country on October 20th and will remain until the 30th of this month, with the aim of strengthening existing agreements and establishing new partnerships with Mozambican universities.
The ongoing research led by the professor deals with the renewal of an agreement between UFRN and a Mozambican university, in addition to other cooperation agreements that he coordinates. The agenda includes external meetings for academic cooperation in the areas of research, extension and teaching, strengthening ties between institutions and encouraging the exchange of knowledge.
Professor Fransualdo also participates in academic activities in Mozambique, giving lectures and short courses. Additionally, he is articulating institutional support for the creation of a doctoral-level graduate program in the area of ​​community development and the environment.
Fransualdo de Azevedo is a professor in the Department of Geography at UFRN and works in the postgraduate programs in Geography (PPGe) and Tourism (PPGTUR), in addition to an international career that includes teaching activities in Mozambique and Spain.
