Mandala Nucleus discusses academic partnerships with Norwegian university

The coordinator of the Mandala Agroecology Center, professor Joana Moura, from the Institute of Public Policies (IPP/UFRN), received on January 16th, professor Tor Arvid Breland, from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU), at a meeting on international academic cooperation in the areas of agroecology and rural development.

The meeting, held in the Labrural room, at IPP, also included the participation of two members of the Rural Studies Laboratory (Labrural). On the occasion, strategies for establishing research partnerships were discussed, as well as possibilities for academic exchange, including master's, doctoral and post-doctoral programs between institutions in Brazil and Norway.

According to Professor Joana Moura, contact with Professor Tor Arvid Breland came about spontaneously, after the Norwegian researcher carried out an internet search and found information about the Mandala Center. Interested in the proposal developed by the group, the professor got in touch to learn more about the Center's actions and initiatives.

The dialogue reinforces the potential for internationalization of the activities developed by UFRN, especially in the field of agroecology, promoting the exchange of experiences, strengthening scientific research and expanding opportunities for academic training at an international level.
