Elefante Audiovisual Exhibition holds awards night

Through the Creative Connections Notice, the Art and Culture Center (NAC), and the Norte-Rio-Grandense Research and Culture Foundation (Funpec), the UFRN Communications Superintendency (COMUNICA) promotes a night of screenings and awards for the short films participating in the Elefante Audiovisual Show. The event takes place this Wednesday, December 4th, at 7pm, at the Ginásio Arena do Morro, located on Rua Camaragibe, in the Mãe Luíza neighborhood.
In this exhibition, in addition to the 10 finalist shorts in the Exhibition, two other short films produced by filmmakers from the Mãe Luíza community will be shown. The short films are Mãe Luíza tem: studio de preta, written by the collective Aos Olhos do Farol, and Felis, from the production company Passa a Visão. There will also be awards for the first three places in the Exhibition, and the delivery of certificates to the ten teams of finalist directors.
According to Sandra Mara de Oliveira Souza, scriptwriter for COMUNICA's Institutional Promotion Coordination, this work is very significant for enabling moments of sharing and learning with communities, especially using audiovisual language, considered universal and very relevant today.
"I consider that we are developing important work. The aim is to bring the university closer and closer to the communities, taking academia beyond its own walls, seeking to interact more directly with people. In this way, we intend to show that the university is open to getting to know, sharing and learning together", highlights Sandra.
To participate in the exhibition, simply show up at the venue, without the need to register in advance. After the Exhibition, there will be a conversation with all the short film directors, which will also be open to the public.
