III edition of Palhaçar discusses female presence in art

Between the 11th and 14th of December, the Arts department (DEART) at UFRN will hold the 3rd Palhaçar, an event that is part of the extension course of the degree course in Theater and the Center for Studies and Research in Performing Arts (NACE) and is coordinated by professor André Carrico.
The event, free and open to everyone, proposes discussing the presence of clowns in the Rio Grande do Norte community. Starting the activity there will be a procession of clowns and clowns through the Arts Department towards the DAS (Division of Public Health Care) at UFRN. The figures present will be creations of students from the Theater Course in the Introduction to Clowning curricular component, which were created based on the clowning exercises performed in the course.
On the 13th, at 2:30 pm, at Teatro Laboratório do Deart, the extension will hold a debate table that proposes to discuss the history, advances and difficulties of female clowning as a whole and, especially in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, allowing reflection, empowerment and tribute to these professionals.
Finally, to conclude the activities, on Saturday, the 14th, at 10 am, the students go out with their comical characters to the rosemary fair to spread joy throughout the city and propagate this art.
