Clarice Lispector's short story inspires photography exhibition

Students from the Department of Arts (DLET/UFRN) promote the photography exhibition Felicidade Clandestina. The event seeks to share and discuss images produced from reading the short story Felicidade Clandestina, by Clarice Lispector. The exhibition takes place on January 15th, from 7pm to 9pm, in auditorium B of the Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts (CCHLA/UFRN), located on the UFRN Central Campus.
The program begins with the reading of Lispector's text. Then, the photographs will be projected and discussed. The material was produced by students of the curricular component Literature and Intersemiotic Translation of the DLET. Students will also talk about the creative process that resulted in the exhibition. Registration via Sigaa guarantees a two-hour certificate.
Felicidade Clandestina, released in 1971, tells the story of a girl who dreams of reading the book As Reinações de Narizinho, by Monteiro Lobato. The child is constantly teased by another girl who promises to lend the copy, but takes a long time to fulfill the agreement.
A literary icon
Clarice Lispector is an important figure in Brazilian literature. Recognized for her originality and ability to explore the complexities of the human soul, her works transcend the limits of conventionality, delving into existential reflections and exploring subjectivity. The author contributed to the renewal of national literature by addressing themes such as identity, loneliness and the meaning of life, always using introspective language. Among the writer's main works are Close to the Wild Heart; The Hour of the Star; The Passion According to G.H.; Family Ties; and Living Water.
