The II Cultural Caravan Audiovisual Exhibition, held by the Dean of Extension (Proex) of UFRN, is open for registration, via a form, until March 31, 2025. To compete, films must be up to three minutes long. Up to 10 audiovisual works will be selected for the exhibition, which will receive a budget of R$900 each, to cover production expenses.
When registering, interested parties must pay attention to include general information about the work (synopsis, specific place of production, promotional material), in addition to including the indicative rating and the link of the film published on YouTube. Further information about registration is available in notice no. 017.
The filmmakers must record the shorts in Rio Grande do Norte, to compete for the exhibition, being made by students from any public educational institution. The notice also clarifies that films already published on streaming platforms, already submitted to the previous Audiovisual Exhibition, or already shown on TV, for example, cannot compete for the notice.
As selection criteria, the curators will observe factors such as argument, creativity (evaluating effort and innovation), technical and artistic quality. The curator will select the films throughout the month of April 2025. The forecast is that the screening of the selected films on the platforms and in the screening room (to be defined later) will take place in the first half of 2025.
The program is part of the Caravana Cultural structuring program. Funding for the selected films may come from the Norte-Rio-grandense Research and Culture Foundation (FUNPEC). Other questions can be resolved via email: mostracaravanacultural@gmail.com.
