UFRN's Center for Visual Anthropology and Image invites you to the (Re)Weaving Methodologies workshop

The Center for Visual Anthropology and Image (NAVIS) at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) invites you to the workshop (Re)Weaving Methodologies: between Disobediences and Patches, which will take place on October 22, 2024, from 3pm to 6pm, at LAB DAN, room 909, of the CCHLA Department of Anthropology.
Taught by Gabriela Santos, embroiderer, educator and master's student in Social Anthropology (PPGAS/UFRN), the workshop proposes an approach that combines the practice of embroidery with anthropological reflection. With a limited number of 15 places, interested parties can register via Google Forms.
During the activity, participants will explore embroidery as a tool for research and expression. The methodology includes an initial theoretical presentation, followed by embroidery practice and final discussions, with the right to a certificate of participation.
Registration is open and can be done via the link available in the NAVIS bio. Don't miss the chance to participate in this unique experience that promises to challenge and expand the ways of thinking and doing anthropology.
