Professors from the Department of Geography (DGE) at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) and the Maria do Carmo Academic Center (CAGEO Geography UFRN) promote another edition of the lecture series in honor of geographer Milton Santos. The meeting takes place on May 11th and aims to deepen the debates on the researcher's intellectual heritage and the permanence of his concepts in different areas of contemporary Geography.
The event will feature the participation of professor Jane Roberta de Assis, coordinator of the Territorial, Technical and Socio-Spatial Planning (GEOPLAT) group, who will address the theoretical intersections and contributions of Milton Santos from the perspective of the research carried out by the group.
Professor Alessandro Dozena, coordinator of the AIGF, will also participate, bringing reflections on spatial dynamics and the application of Miltonic thought in his area of activity.
The meeting seeks to bring together students, researchers and those interested in Geography in a space for debate, collective construction and exchange of knowledge about the legacy of Milton Santos.
