To spark reflections on the communication, production and dissemination of content carried out by indigenous peoples, through different means of communication, with the aim of expressing their identities and demands, the Pragmatic Research Group on Communication and Media (Grupo Pragma/UFRN) promotes another meeting of the open class cycle Teko Katu: Ancestral Knowledge, with the participation of researcher Deyse Moura, next Monday (26), from 4pm to 6pm, remotely.
The topic discussed will be “The production of Podcast RAÍZES in the study of Indigenous Ethnomedia”, and aims to generate reflections on communication practices developed within the scope of indigenous ethnomedia, focusing on the experience of Podcast RAÍZES, one of the products derived from his post-doctoral research at the Department of Journalism and Publishing at the School of Communications and Arts at the University of São Paulo.
Deyse Moura is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Journalism and Publishing at the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo (ECA-USP), a fellow from the Dean of Inclusion and Belonging (PRIP). PhD in Digital Media-Art from the Open University of Portugal, in association with the University of Algarve, with validation by UFRN, she has a master's degree in Media Studies and a journalist graduated from the same institution. She has specializations in Communication and Marketing Consulting and Instructional Design, in addition to extensive work as a radio journalist, communication advisor and educommunicator.
The RAÍZES Podcast is a place for active listening and reflection about and with the indigenous community and is available on the main audio platforms: Spotify, Deezer, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music and YouTube.

About the project
Teko Katu: Ancestral Knowledge is an initiative of the Pragma Group, within the scope of the Postgraduate Program in Media Studies at UFRN (PPgEM-UFRN), in partnership with Cacique Dioclécio Mendonça and under the coordination of professors Juciano Lacerda and Andrielle Mendes.
The activity is part of the discipline Communication, Health and Intercultural Relations from an indigenous perspective and is supported by PPgGIS-UFRN, LAIS-UFRN, COMPÓS, ABPCom and Abrasco's Communication and Health GT.
