The Applied Psychology Service, linked to the Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, has been developing actions focused on mental health and work through the Organizational and Work Psychology Sector.
The activities meet the demands of non-profit organizations, especially trade unions that seek awareness raising and team development actions. Recent interventions took place with unions in Rio Grande do Norte and Paraíba.
On April 16, the Service held a workshop with the SINAI board. The activity brought together 30 union leaders in a training session focused on reflections on institutional identity, work relations and collective action strategies.
On May 14, a workshop was held with SINTRICOM-JP, a union that represents civil, heavy construction, furniture and assembly workers in the metropolitan region of João Pessoa, in Paraíba. The action was attended by 20 directors and employees of the entity.
According to the Applied Psychology Service, the interventions resulted in the elaboration of collective resolutions related to the identity, objectives and development strategies of the participating teams. In addition to the technical results, the activities also contributed to the academic training of undergraduate students and interns involved in the actions.
