XXI CCHLA Humanities Week

With the theme: “Democracy and formative action: building territories, (de)constructing subjects”, the XXI Humanities Week of the Center for Humanities, Letters and Arts at UFRN takes place from the 12th to the 16th of September, starting at 8am, in the CCHLA events room.
This year's theme proposes interdisciplinary dialogue, encouraging dialogue between the different areas that make up the CCHLA, about democracy in Brazil, its historical difficulties, present challenges and the possible paths that open up in its future.
Establishing itself over the years as a privileged space for bringing together researchers in the humanities and disseminating their research to the entire academic community, this event also became, for many students, their first opportunity for scientific dialogue and the presentation of their academic work.
One of the event organizers, professor Sérgio Dela-Sávia from the philosophy department, comments:
"I think the big difference between this edition and previous ones is precisely this interdisciplinary character. For the first time, we have a general theme around which researchers from all areas of knowledge that make up the broad area of human sciences will be able to dialogue and compare their views. This edition will also be marked by the broad media coverage that it will receive and is receiving. During the event, interviews, videos and extracts from the various activities will be broadcast, which will later be available on the Semana's website (http://cchla.ufrn.br/shxxi)”.
For the Center's management, the expectation is that Humanities Week will be a success and will expose the academic community to the work developed in extension, research and teaching projects produced by CCHLA departments and students.
