The Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) hosts an Extension Course in National Defense (CEDN), from May 6th to 11th. The activity is promoted by the Ministry of Defense (MD) in partnership with Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the country. To discuss the implementation of the course, the manager of the cooperation division of the Department of Education (DEPENS) of MD, Colonel Celso Bueno da Fonseca, will meet with the dean Ângela Maria Paiva Cruz, on March 12th, at 5pm in Natal.
Coordinated by the Cooperation Division, the CEDN aim to encourage reflection and studies on topics involving National Defense, in addition to disseminating knowledge in the area within society. Classes are taught by experts appointed by the Ministry of Defense and by teachers and speakers suggested by partner HEIs. The extension is carried out over the course of a week, totaling 20 hours/class. Students who have at least 75% attendance will receive certificates.
CEDN are free and aimed at undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as people interested in the topic of National Defense. More information on the Ministry's website.
