The Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) will host for the first time the event AFROLIC – Association of Teachers of African Literature, which is in its third edition and takes place from the 29th to the 31st of July. This year's theme is Literature, Inequality, Teaching.
Those interested in participating in the event with presentation of work in symposiums can register until June 30, 2019, through the website (https://www.afrolic.com/afrolic-2019/). Registration without presenting work remains open until July 29th.
The congress will feature a varied program, including short courses, thematic tables, symposiums, debates with writers, as well as cultural presentations. It will be attended by important researchers in the area, including professor Nilma Lino Gomes (UFMG), former minister of Women, Racial Equality and Human Rights, the Portuguese poet Ana Mafalda Leite and the scholar Inocência Mata, both professors at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon, and the Angolan writer Paula Tavares.
