The Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) will host the V International Symposium of the Brazilian Network of Public History, which will take place from September 20 to 27, 2024. Registration is open until September 23 for listeners, and can be done via the website doity.com.br. The full event schedule is available on Instagram: @v_sirbhp.
The symposium, previously held at USP, UFF and URCA, will promote the exchange of experiences between researchers, teachers, professionals and students from Brazil and abroad. The opening session will be on September 20th, with activities resuming between the 25th and 27th, with lectures and round tables led by experts from various parts of the country.
Among the round tables planned are the themes: “Public History, Media and Historicity”, “Challenges and Racialization in Public History”, “Professional Training and the Future of Graduations”, “Noise, Stories and Emergencies”, “What is the Future of Public History” and “History and Historians in the Public Sphere”.
