The Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) will host the I State Meeting of Youth Organizations on April 27th, at the Department of Psychology (Depsi) at UFRN. The objective of the action is for the youth entities present to elect representatives on the council through voting, according to their respective categories.
On the occasion, the Potiguar Youth Profile survey will be launched, coordinated by the Observatory of the Child and Youth Population in Contexts of Violence (OBIJUV), in partnership with the Youth Secretariat (SEJUV).
It is also planned to hold an opening moment with the presence of Governor Fátima Bezerra and the presentation of the planning and actions of the Subsecretariat for Youth.
The Youth Statute establishes as a general guideline for public and private agents involved with public youth policies to “encourage broad youth participation in its formulation, implementation and evaluation”. In Rio Grande do Norte, the State Youth Council was created, but without regulations or the call for representatives to exercise the first term and effectively operate. That is why holding this meeting is so important.
