The Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) will host, virtually, between the 26th and 29th of April 2022, the V International Meeting on Participation, Democracy and Public Policies (PDPP). The Meeting, whose registrations are made possible through the synthesis events website, aims to continue academic efforts aimed at consolidating the field of studies on political participation in its various modalities – associations, protests, social movements, extra-parliamentary and electoral institutional channels – and its relationship with public policies and the deepening of democracy.
The meeting, which has its local committee made up of UFRN professors Joana Moura, Lindijane Almeida and Raquel Silveira, will bring together social and political actors, researchers, professionals and undergraduate and postgraduate students in a set of activities aimed at discussing democracy and public policies, especially in a post-pandemic context. Furthermore, enabling debate between researchers from different regions of Brazil and the world, strengthening ties between groups and research networks, expanding the exchange of ideas necessary for innovation in the technical-scientific field.
