The Department of Philosophy (Defil), at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), in partnership with the José Augusto Foundation, promotes the extension project “Art and Thought”. The program includes free courses, which start next Wednesday, April 5th, and run until October 25th. The activities take place on Wednesdays, at 4pm, at the Pinacoteca do Estado, located in the Cidade Alta neighborhood. Places are limited, with registration via Sigaa.
The initiative brings together different researchers and seeks to carry out an introductory course on the subject of art, with the aim of reflecting on the topic. The first conference will be on “Thinking with Art”, on April 5th, with professor and project coordinator Oscar Federico Bauchwitz.
Still in April, two more conferences will take place. On the 12th, Dr. Edrisi Fernandes teaches on the topic “The origins of visual art”. On the 26th, Sofia Porto Bauchwitz introduces the course on “Everyday scenes: activations in art”. Check out the entire schedule on the cards and participate.
