The Philosophy department of the Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts at UFRN is holding a mini-course “Studies in Philosophy of Law” which aims to investigate what fair law should be like, what legitimate political power should be like, what rights and freedoms should be legally protected. The project will begin on March 11th and the other meetings will take place during March to December, on Friday afternoons, from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm in the Sector II rooms and in the CCHLA Auditoriums.
Some of the theoretical references used in this extension project are: Kant, Kelsen, Hart, Dworkin, Raz, Waldron, Habermas and Rawls. The meetings will discuss the relationship between Law and Justice in the Philosophy and Theory of modern and contemporary Law.
