The Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) published the admission notice for undergraduate courses in 2020. Those approved for the Natal and Macaíba campuses must register on January 30th and 31st and February 1st and 3rd, at the School of Science and Technology (ECT) on the central campus. For new students at the Caicó campus, the procedure will take place on January 30th and 31st and February 1st, at the Seridó Regional Higher Education Center (CERES-Caicó). Students from Currais Novos and Santa Cruz will be welcomed on the 30th and 31st of January, at CERES-Currais Novos and the Faculty of Health Sciences of Trairi (FACISA), respectively.
Registration and enrollment will be carried out simultaneously, when the candidate must present documents to verify compliance with the requirements for admission to UFRN. The vacancies offered by the notice are related to the Unified Selection System (SiSU), using the score from the National High School Exam (ENEM) 2019.
According to the Dean of Undergraduate Studies, Maria das Vitórias Vieira Almeida de Sá, what is new this year is that candidates will submit their documentation in advance electronically, through the Candidate Portal, from January 27th to February 2nd for the first call. At the beginning of the submission period, the SiSU result will not yet be available, however the teacher explains that sending it in advance will speed up the registration process.
In addition to submitting documentation in advance, the candidate must attend the registration location, which will take place from 8 am to 11:30 am and from 1:30 pm to 5 pm. To check the Registration Notice and the Term of Adhesion, with the call schedule and the vacancy table, simply access the UFRN Candidate Portal: http://www.sisu.ufrn.br/.
Vacancies
UFRN offers 6,933 places through SiSU for 107 undergraduate courses on the campuses of Natal, Macaíba, Currais Novos, Caicó and Santa Cruz, with 4,649 places for the first semester and 2,284 for the second academic period.
At the end of the 1st call, any unfilled vacancies will be filled in a 2nd call, using the waiting list made available by SiSU 2020. To be on the waiting list, the candidate must confirm on the SiSU portal (http://sisu.mec.gov.br/) their interest in the vacancy, during the period specified in the schedule defined by the MEC. The second call is scheduled to take place on the 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th of February, for substitutes from the Natal and Macaíba campuses; on the 12th, 13th and 14th of February, to the Caicó campus; and February 12th and 13th at the Currais Novos and Santa Cruz campuses.
