The Department of Letters (Dlet) and the Department of Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures (Dllem), of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), promote, in the CCHLA auditoriums, from the 13th to the 15th of September, the VIII Week of Letters. The event schedule began on the morning of Tuesday, the 13th, with a lecture by Dr. Naama Maia on “The developments narrated in Fairy Tales: beyond illnesses”. Professors Luis Fiori and Juliane Welter also presented, with lectures “How to analyze poetry through the unveiling of images” and ‘Ghosts of the past, dilemmas of the present: Brazilian Literature and the Dictatorship”. During the morning there was a round table on scientific research by female authors “Dora the Explorer: Hey, woman! What are you researching?”, organized by professor Izabel Souza.
In addition to lectures, round tables, artistic exhibitions and workshops, the Letters Week also returns with Sebo Soledad Barret, the making of shirts and buttons, and coffee breaks. It is also possible to participate in the event as a monitor to purchase additional hours.
