UFRN starts academic period 2020.1

The Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) begins the 2020.1 academic period this Monday, 17th. The institution's student body is made up of more than 40 thousand students, distributed in 112 undergraduate and 134 postgraduate courses between the campuses of Natal, Macaíba, Santa Cruz, Currais Novos and Caicó. More than 4 thousand new undergraduate students enter the first academic period, through the Unified Selection System (Sisu) and specific selection processes.
The dean of Undergraduate Studies at UFRN, Maria das Vitória de Sá, alerts new students to confirm their relationship, in which the student confirms their interest and availability to attend classes and other academic activities. The procedure must be carried out in person, between February 17th and 28th, for those entering the first semester, by signing a list with the respective course coordinator. Those entering the second academic period must only attend after the start of their classes, between the 27th and 31st of July.
Confirmation of a relationship remotely or by proxy is not permitted. Failure to comply with the obligation within the defined period terminates the link with the course and allows the call of a substitute to fill the vacancy. More information is available in Sisu's rectified notice.
Second call registration
UFRN continues the registration of candidates called last Thursday, 13th, in the second Sisu call. The service began last Saturday, 15th, at the School of Science and Technology (ECT), for those approved and substitutes for courses on the Natal and Macaíba campuses. The first day was attended by 775 students.
Registration takes place at ECT until Wednesday, the 19th. Those invited to the Caicó campus will be received from the 17th to the 19th of February at the Caicó Regional Higher Education Center (CERES-Caicó), while new students from the Currais Novos and Santa Cruz campuses will be attended on the 17th and 18th at CERES-Currais Novos and at the Faculty of Health Sciences of Trairi (Facisa), respectively.
All campuses offer services from 8am to 11:30am and from 1:30pm to 5pm, divided according to the courses, according to the schedule defined in the notice. Candidates must submit their documentation in advance electronically by the 18th, through the Candidate Portal, where the call schedule, vacancy table, among other information from Sisu at UFRN are also available.
