On March 14, the Department of Letters at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) celebrates Poetry Day 2024 in honor of Castro Alves' birthday. To mark this date, the institution is promoting the event “Everything divine, everything is wonderful: the encounter between the poetic and the sacred”, at 10 am, in the Mini Auditorium of the Zila Mamede Library (attached building). Entry is free and registration takes place via Sigaa.
The event, coordinated by Profa. Cellina Muniz and mediated by Profa. Tânia Lima, features the participation of Cadu Araújo, artist, cultural producer and public school teacher, and Aracelli Sobreira, poet, writer and retired UERN teacher. Guests will share with the public the influences of shamanism and primordial myths in their poetic works. At the end of the event, there will be the Mística Poesia Soiree, with an open microphone for everyone who wishes to share their own poetic creations.
