The Postgraduate Program in Media Studies (PPgem) at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) announces the opening of registrations for the Master's and Doctorate selection processes for classes of 2024. Registrations for both programs will be open from this Monday, August 28th, and will close at 11:59 pm on September 22nd, 2023. Interested parties can access the detailed notices in the Integrated Management System Academic Activities (Sigaa) or on the official PPgem website.
Regarding the Master's degree, a total of 18 places will be available. Of these, 13 are intended for broad competition, while 4 are reserved for self-declared black, brown or indigenous candidates, and 1 vacancy is reserved for people with disabilities. Furthermore, the remaining two vacancies are exclusive to employees belonging to UFRN's permanent staff.
As for the Doctorate, 10 places will be offered. Of these, 7 are for broad competition, 2 are reserved for self-declared black, brown or indigenous candidates, and 1 vacancy is reserved for people with disabilities. The remaining two vacancies are also available to UFRN permanent staff.
Both postgraduate programs offered by PPgem include lines of research focused on Media Studies and Social Practices, as well as Media Studies and Meaning Production.
